Inexpensive Wedding Favors
Choosing favors for your wedding reception can get quite pricy, even when you don’t have a huge guest list. Many people forget to include this expense when figuring their budget and find themselves spending more than they can afford. Luckily, there are a lot of inexpensive wedding favors ideas so you don’t have to break the bank. Here are just a few that you might not have thought of. Candles are wonderful for inexpensive wedding favors.
Candles as Inexpensive Wedding Favors
Everyone likes candles so you’ll be pleasing your guests while still taking it easy on the pocketbook. Often you can buy boxes of votive or taper candles very cheaply in discount stores – don’t buy these at the wedding or craft stores as they’ll be a lot more money. Tie a pretty bow around the candle and you have a lovely favor for pennies. For votives, you can easily personalize these specific to your wedding. Simply print up some tags that state your names and the date of the wedding. Cut these out using edging scissors for a fancy shape and then use decoupage glue to put them on the side of the votive. Another solution would be to make your own favors and this works especially well with a theme wedding.
One idea is to pick up cheap, unfinished wooden napkin rings. Stain or paint and hot-glue on something that goes with the theme, such as a small seashell for a beach wedding. Take a wedding announcement and roll it; insert this into the napkin ring. You can also use decorative shower rings for this and these generally come in a dozen to a set so it ends up being very inexpensive to do.
The important thing to remember is that you want something each person will enjoy and that will look nice at the places on the tables. Just a little bit of imagination will give you endless ideas for Inexpensive Wedding Favors that both you and your guests will enjoy.
